Some companies need to block ranges of time from employees when making paid time off requests. To configure blackout dates follow the steps below:


  1. From the Home page click the Blackout Dates app
  2. Click the New blackout date button for the location where you want to create a blackout range
  3. Provide a Name, Start Date, and End Date
  4. Select Warn or Block
    Warn will show employees that the requested dates may be denied during request time. The Block option will not allow employees to submit a request if their request falls within the range of selected dates.
  5. Click the Save Blackout Dates on the top right of the page.
