Some companies need to block ranges of time from employees when making paid time off requests. To configure blackout dates follow the steps below:
- From the Home page click the Blackout Dates app
- Click the New blackout date button for the location where you want to create a blackout range
- Provide a Name, Start Date, and End Date
- Select Warn or Block
Warn will show employees that the requested dates may be denied during request time. The Block option will not allow employees to submit a request if their request falls within the range of selected dates. - Click the Save Blackout Dates on the top right of the page.
